SHOP THE POST:
Hi Friends! I’m sorry I have been a little MIA. I’ve been taking the last week or so to focus on relaxing. Today marks my last day of work before baby (teacher life, y’all) and I’ve been working, sleeping, eating, and reading, and it’s been kind of amazing. I’ve read 4 books in 2 weeks and that’s pretty speedy for me! ;)
I’ve also been been having quite the creative writer’s block, with zero inspiration lately, if you want the whole truth… I’ve let my fashion photos dictate my blog posts (which is totally fine!) but I’ve been lazy using my own camera lately. Last weekend Eric and I got a new lens for my camera and he actually is the one who shot these photos. Not bad for us amateurs, right?
With nothing but free time looming ahead in then next few months, I’m going to work harder at expanding my content and shooting some new stuff. I’m so excited! If you have ideas for more things you would like to see on here, drop me a comment below.
But let’s move on, shall we? We’ve got a holiday weekend upon us! One of the reasons I love the 4th of July is because it’s a patriotic holiday with no gifts, no expectations (other than maybe a cookout or two;), and is celebrated by our whole country. I love wearing red and blue, watching the fireworks light up the sky, and spending time with family and friends.
Tonight Eric and I are flying to Salt Lake City and are driving up to Jackson, Wyoming tomorrow. I’m so excited for breathtaking views & lots of hiking! We will be back Monday and ready to celebrate the 4th (hopefully on the boat!) on Tuesday.
What I love about this maxi dress is that it kind of has a bit of everything I love about summer fashion: a floral print, cold shoulders, and a flowy skirt. Ironically it’s sold out (even though I bought it in the store yesterday) but I linked some other fun maxis above. There are so many! Nordstrom is also having quite a sale this weekend (50% off many items!) so be sure to check them out ;)
What are your plans for the 4th? I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned for some fun travel diaries coming up!
