SHOP THE POST:
Holy Heat Austin. Hiyyya friends. Can you believe it’s SUMMER?! We sure can in Texas. It’s no joke, y’all.
My schedule has been work, pool, sleep, repeat. I’m enjoying this bit of freedom and down time for myself. I’ve been flying through books and had enjoying my time for creativity, rest, and relaxation. We must savor these moments, right?!
How is your summer going?
During this season, wearing dresses practically is a necessity. The airy flow makes it easy to catch a little breeze and keep cool when the heat becomes unbearable. Dresses have become my best friend for any time I want to go out and meet a friend for lunch, stroll around The Domain, or look put together while I run errands. A dress is so easy to wear during pregnancy too.
This free people embroidered dress is one I’ve had my eyes on forever and I finally decided I had to have for myself. It’s a simple cotton dress and super flowy. I love the material and the fun embroidery on the front. It comes in 4 colors and I highly recommend ordering a size down. Can you imagine it with over-the-knee boots in fall? So pretty. It’s a tad pricy but there’s a similar one for under $50 here. I had to throw on a hat for a few shots with it because I felt this dress just lends itself to that, although I usually don’t wear hats in the summer! My fedora is from Spain but I linked a similar one from Brixton.
My favorite lace up sandals are still available in select few sizes and colors for under $80 which is a steal since I paid $140 for them over a year ago… What can I say?! I had to have them. My sister bought them too and loves them just as much as I do.
We have a low key week ahead which I’m super excited about. I’ve got a fun project coming up with some blogger friends that we’re shooting tomorrow and I can’t wait to show you! Happy First day of Summer!
