SHOP THE POST:
Happy Spring Guys! Can you believe it’s here? The weather could not be more gorgeous in Austin and I’m ohsoexcited for the next couple of months of spring weather perfection and its energy.
I opened the windows in the house yesterday and let out all the stale air. I got much of my spring cleaning done and took a long run outside in the sunshine. I also read a very lovely quote from my quote calendar : “Nature never seems to be in a hurry. And yet everything gets done”… I like to keep that in mind when the weather isn’t always perfect… I probably should remind myself of this quote come Fall though, but for all my family and friends in Chicago, this one’s for you…
I had the most relaxing week back home. It snowed (yes SNOWED) upon my arrival and I kind of loved shoveling our driveway. It brought me back to my childhood chores, memories of building snow forts, and walking in a winter wonderland. And although my sisters were very displeased with the weather, I took a moment to glance outside and watch the wind spin the snowflakes around and off the trees and rooftops. It was kind of magical. But I guess I can embrace those days when I know I’m returning to a climate like Austin’s…
Anyway, I’m rambling about weather again, aren’t I?
Now I realize my last outfit post also exhibited a floral dress and you might not be surprised to find out my next post will also be about florals. What can I say? It’s that time of year. What I love about this blue floral dress is its fun sleeve details and print pattern. It’s also available in a pretty coral red! Turquoise is my favorite color but blue is a very close second. I always feel good in blue and I love the various shades. I’m wearing a size 4 for reference but if you don’t like tight clothing, you might want to size up so it’s not as snug around your mid-line. It’s not stretchy where it zips, so keep that in mind!
I’m wearing my Kelly Wynne Polynesian Pearl bag which is a fun purse to have all year round! White never goes out of style (or out of season in ATX). This purse is one of my favorites I own. I love the texture, sparkle, and the fact that the designer is local. I love supporting local brands.
I’m wearing a lot of gold jewelry, but this might not surprise you. Gold is my favorite. My best friend gave me a Kate Spade Maid of Honor bangle before her wedding and though it’s sold out, there is also one that’s engraved Best Friend Ever, or a simple Good as Gold one :) I love wearing it higher on my arm because I can’t stand when the feeling of bouncing around on my wrist… but I don’t know anyone else who wears it like I do, ha. To each her own!
I had to include my friend Hilary, of By Hilary Rose because we overlapped with our photoshoots and she is one of the best gals ever. Cheers to ladies in blue!
