I don’t know about you but I love holidays. Each and every one of them, just about. And Valentine’s Day is no exception. Having a holiday to look forward to after Christmas and one that celebrates love makes me happy.
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a Hallmark holiday full of cards and roses and candy (although it totally can be) or one where you have self-doubts about your relationship status… Always choose to look at the bright side of things! For me, it’s about wearing red and pink, sending snail mail and hand written cards, and finding an excuse to dress up and celebrate! I’ll take any excuse to dress up and celebrate…
On a beautiful 75 degree winter Sunday, I got together with some of my favorite girls and did just that. We made it a “Galentine’s Day” celebration all about sisterhood. We sampled wine and enjoyed a whimsical afternoon of pure bliss at one of my favorite local wineries: Fall Creek Vineyard…
Fall Creek is a must-do if you’re celebrating a Bachelorette party or looking for an afternoon getaway with your guy. I love sitting on their patio overlooking the vineyard and sipping their wines. Plus The Salt Lick BBQ is right across the street and really hits the spot after a glass of vino.
These girls mean so much to me! Blogging can be difficult at times when you’re constantly putting yourself out there at the mercy of your audience wondering will this be liked? is this too much? did I say the right thing?
These gals are the best support network. And such beautiful people inside and out. We get together regularly for dinners, brunch, local events, shopping, happy hour- well everything friends would get together for. And I’m so grateful for their friendship & support!

I finally bought my first pleated skirt and I’m super pumped about it! I was inspired after both Janna and Hilary rocked them in the fall and I thought, why not a bright red one for Valentine’s Day? I’ll probably wear it again next year for Christmas with a black top. It’s so festive! I’m also wearing the best pajama white blouse… It’s so hard to find one that isn’t totally see-through! I’ve looked for a long time now and Asos finally delivered ;) My shoes are my absolute favorite but are selling out quick…they always do! But hopefully they will be back in stock soon!

Michelle from Style Beacon
Michelle is one of the most inspiring, smart, classy, and genuine girls I know. She’s such a business woman who always gives great advice for how to handle situations and approach new ones. Michelle spins things in a positive light and I love the way she approaches life… #goals
Janna from Janna Doan
Janna is actually the sweetest person I know with the kindest heart. You can always count on her for the most thoughtful feedback. She shares tips and inspiration, plans get-togethers frequently, and is the best cheerleader. She is always up for trying something new too :)
Kaley from My Closet Life
You can’t hang out with Kaley and not instantly feel like you’ve been friends forever. She’s hysterical, witty, and fun. She’s a great audience and makes you feel like you’re funny even when you’re not… it’s awesome. And what a vivacious, adventurous girl she is! You can always count on Kaley for laughing until your stomach hurts…
Hilary from By, Hilary Rose
Hilary was one of the first bloggers I met in Austin and has been such a light. She’s such a beautiful, feminine girl, but always down to grab beers on Rainey or play pitch and put. You’ll rarely catch her not smiling… She’s genuine, loyal, and one of those people you just love to be around.
Haylee from It’s Me Haylee
I met Haylee for the first time at our last blogger shoot and I shared one of my alter egos with her (yes, I have an alter ego, and more than one) which means I felt extremely comfortable. You don’t meet people and immediately share your weirdness… But Haylee gives you a sense of ease. She’s a pistol: witty; funny; goofy; clever. And she’s such an easy person to talk to. I wish she lived closer but that’s why we plan these regular girls adventures :)
Jess from Uptown Fashion by Jess
Jessica is new to the Austin blogging community after moving here from Vegas but she made friends with everyone right away. She’s a follow-through girl who commits and executes. If she says she’s going to do something, she does it. And I love a person you can count on. Jess is a girls girl and I love that she’s always game to try a barre class or grab brunch. She’s thoughtful, smart, and a great listening ear.
Dani from The Dani Austin
Dani is hysterical and a ball of energy. In addition to blogging, she’s a vlogger, which is a video blogger if you’re unfamiliar, and you can check out her Youtube channel here. She’s such a sweet girl who works her tail off. And is SO FUNNY! Her blog is her full time gig and she kicks butt. Any time with Dani is a good time and I’m so grateful to know her.
