Well hello there! How are ya?! I hope you are having a lovely first week of July. It’s been a quick one with the fourth on Monday and I’ve been breezing through Austin trying to get errands done & get organized for a week away. Eric and I are heading home to Chicago tomorrow night and I’m excited to reunite with my college girlfriends and celebrate another friend’s bachelorette! It will be a busy week, so I’m anxious to have a few days of down time to hang at home and with family… I tend to over program myself because I never want to miss anyone, but I get overwhelmed! So I’m trying to make this trip a little different. We shall see. I get giddy when I’m home :)
Summer is in full swing and it’s important to have light airy tops to deal with the heat! I am in love with this open back three quarter length top from Jella Couture. It’s an oldie, but an absolutely goodie. It definitely gets worn every summer. I love a lemon yellow top this season. It’s light & free and looks great with a tan :) Especially if paired with turquoise or blue jewelry. I wanted to keep this outfit simple so I wore my Kendra Scott faves and gold jewelry instead. I paired this top with tassled shorts that I found at a boutique in Florida (similar fringe ones here) and I think the yellow and cream complement each other well :) If you don’t have cream or tassled shorts, you can create a very similar look with a simple pair of white shorts or pants. Light is key!
What I love about summer fashion is that it is so easy to dress up with a bold top and white bottoms. Say yellow isn’t your color… We all have our colors. Try pink, or blue, or coral, or purple, or green… Yeah, every color goes with white. It’s such an easy season to dress for!
