Hello there! How is your week going? I’m feeling super accomplished after a Monday full of exercise and errands… I made sure to track my steps on my fitbit. After a weekend of eating any and everything, it was necessary to run and attend a fitness class. I have Mondays off, so I don’t have an excuse! Needless to say, I am very sore (but happy!) today.
We have fruit flies around our house that are driving me insane! I scrubbed out entire kitchen and set out a bowl with vinegar and soap and that seemed to help a little. Any other remedies? I need help!
I did all our laundry yesterday, prepared meals for the week, took the dogs on a few great walks (you guys- 95 degrees & humid, but we do it!) and my favorite accomplishment– caught the whole episode of The Bachelorette. T’was a good Monday indeed :)
Let me shift gears here and talk about this little navy number that I love :) At the end of spring I told myself the one thing I really wanted to add to my wardrobe this summer was more casual dresses. I have tons of fun fancy dresses for weddings and events and plenty of shorts and tees, but when it comes to breezy easy dresses, I am lacking. I visited the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale with my sisters and picked up this navy high neck shift dress for only $20.40! Can we talk about that?! And yes, it’s still 40% off right now! I wear it with a belt and sandals and it’s the easiest way to keep cool and breezy in this insane Texas heat. I’ve already started planning ahead and preparing my outfits for Europe (what- I’m a planner and I love fashion?!) and you can bet this dress will make the trip. I just went back to Nordstrom’s site to see if I could get it in another color but of course they are all already sold out. Tear… ( I really wanted stripes!) But I found a similar one that comes in 6 amazing summer colors! My sandals are so comfortable and are under $15!!! :) And my sunny G’s (sunglasses for those who haven’t picked up hip lingo from your cool 23 year old sister) are Ray Ban and and the best thing ever. When I got married, I bought myself this monogram necklace with my new initials and I wear it almost every day. It’s my favorite piece of jewelry and means so much to me. If you have a friend or sister or someone close to you getting married, this necklace makes for a wonderful gift :)
What’s your go-to ensemble for summer?
