Today is a new day. Today is what I promised myself yesterday I would do tomorrow. I’m feeling fresh, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the week. I’ve got my cup of coffee and the dogs are quietly resting in bed. The sun is shining and I’ve got a to-do list I’m ready to tackle. My fitbit and yoga pants are ready to rock. Let’s do this Monday.
Over the weekend Eric and I flew to Kansas City, MO for a family reunion. It was wonderful seeing his nephew Joey whom we only see a few times a year. He’s two and a half and each time we see him, so much has changed! He grows so fast! He is also quite the chatter box and I love love love that developmental stage where toddlers start speaking and then they just can’t stop. New world, new world! It’s amazing. Joey showed me his toys and trains and I may have taken a few snap chat pictures of him doing a puppy face with the app. He is beyond adorable :) We returned last night, picked up our very dirty (happy) dogs from the ranch, and came home and made the most delicious Cobb Salad. We are ready for a new week!
Today I want to talk a little bit about print dresses. I don’t know how you feel, but there is something quite spectacular about wearing and rocking a print dress. Print dresses make bold statements. They beg you to look closer & notice their shapes and colors. I love bright and bold patterns and have this love for three quarter length sleeve dresses, the kind that flatter my body type well. This Donna Morgan dress is from Nordstrom Rack two years ago and made for the perfect bridal shower ensemble. Though my dress is no longer in stock, similar blue prints from Donna Morgan are available right here & here. I love a good blue dress. With turquoise being my favorite color and blue in a close second, I have quite a variety of blue dresses that I believe flatter a broader spectrum of women than the colors of red, purple, green, etc. Blue is the new black? At least for summer? Well, that’s what I think anyway.
Below I’ve linked some fun print dresses that I found through both Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. And there are a couple Donna Morgan prints in there too ;) If I didn’t link a blue dress, I linked a floral one, because florals are also essential for summer. I’ll be talking about florals in the next few weeks ;)
I hope you have an awesome kickstart to your week. Cheers!
