Wahoo! It’s almost the weekend! Eric’s parents Grant and Kelly are visiting this weekend and we’re pumped to catch up and show them some new spots in town! If you’ve ever heard of the HGTV’s show ‘Fixer Upper’, you’re probably familiar with Magnolia Market. It’s Joanna and Chip Gaines’ store in Waco, TX, which isn’t too far from us ;) We’re planning on checking it out this Saturday! I’m so excited. I love that show and I absolutely love home decor. Plus we’ve got quite an amazing weather forecast ahead. Wahoo!
Today I’m sharing a look based on one of my favorite articles of clothing- the blazer. I have four: 1 black, 1 white, 1 light grey, and 1 dark grey. I’ll let you know right here and right now that this is a collection I’ve built over the past five years (as is everything in my closet). I didn’t go jam out and buy 4 at a time. They’re from all different places. I love blazers because they’re a classic trend and continue to resurface every year in stores. My favorite places to shop for these are Loft, Nordstrom Rack, Banana Republic (hit up that outlet people!), and Express. But I’ve linked some others below that are amazing! Some that you can get for a great deal right now too :)
And blazers serve their purpose! Black is my favorite, I must admit. Whether stepping it up in a business casual environment or trying to assemble an outfit for a night on the town, a black blazer adds the perfect elegant touch. It really pulls an outfit together. Wear it with slacks and flats. Throw it on over a tank and jeans with boots. Or simply add a scarf to give it a more cozy feel! (You know me and my obsession with chunky scarves…) There are so many ways to wear a blazer.
I’m showing a few styling options below with my black and light grey blazers. These ensembles are a great way to transition from Winter to Spring!
I’m taking the day off tomorrow to enjoy our visitors! Have a great weekend!
